Abren investigación penal sobre maniobras en áreas protegidas
SANTO DOMINGO.- La procuradora general de la República, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, ordenó una investigación exhaustiva e inmediata sobre afectaciones, ocupaciones ilegales y posibles fraudes inmobiliarios en diversas áreas protegidas del país, incluyendo el Parque Nacional Jaragua, la zona de Bucanyé, Valle Nuevo, las Dunas de Baní, la Sierra de Bahoruco y el Parque Nacional Hoyo del Pino.
Para ello, Reynoso designó una fuerza de tarea especial conformada por titulares de diversas áreas especializadas, bajo la coordinación del procurador adjunto Wilson Camacho, titular de la Dirección General de Persecución del Ministerio Público.
Según lo dispuesto por la funcionaria, el equipo debe extender sus indagatorias a «todos los actos jurídicos, administrativos o transacciones que hayan dado lugar a la expedición de títulos de propiedad o acciones privadas que afecten la integridad de estas áreas protegidas».
Su objetivo es determinar la existencia de entramados criminales, corrupción, falsificación o prevaricación que hayan facilitado el apoderamiento de patrimonio público natural, explicó la instrucción de Reynoso, dada a conocer en un comunicado por la Procuraduría General.
Asimismo, la procuradora dispuso que la fuerza de tarea designada realice, en conjunto con el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, un informe pormenorizado sobre la situación jurídica y el impacto de los delitos medioambientales en los 134 espacios que conforman el Sistema Nacional de Áreas Protegidas (SINAP).
