El petróleo de Texas sube un 3,16 %, hasta 57,76 dólares el barril
El petróleo juega un rol importante en la economía de mundial.
SANTO DOMINGO.- El precio del petróleo intermedio de Texas (WTI) subió este jueves un 3,16 %, hasta 57,76 dólares el barril, rompiendo así con las caídas de los últimos días, mientras los inversores mantienen la mirada puesta en el futuro de Venezuela, así como en los suministros internacionales.
Los contratos de futuros del WTI para entrega en febrero sumaban 1,77 dólares con respecto al cierre anterior.
El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, prometió incentivos y compensaciones a las petroleras que inviertan en Venezuela, con la meta de revitalizar el sector en 18 meses; pero la industria aún duda por la “poca claridad” del apoyo, la incertidumbre política y el deterioro de la infraestructura venezolana, según expertos.
El Senado estadounidense aprobó hoy una resolución conjunta que busca bloquear nuevas y eventuales incursiones militares del Gobierno de Trump en Venezuela, la cual contó con el apoyo de cinco republicanos.
La medida, eminentemente simbólica, se aprobó con 52 votos a favor y 47 en contra, ya que cinco senadores del partido de Trump, que cuenta con una exigua mayoría en el hemiciclo, se unieron a la bancada demócrata.
Por otra parte, el precio del crudo también se vio impulsado tras conocerse que un buque petrolero con destino a Rusia sufrió un ataque con drones en el Mar Negro, según medios especializados.
