“Cinco lobitos”, de española Alauda Ruiz, gana Festival Cine Global
SANTO DOMINGO.- “Cinco lobitos”, de la española Alauda Ruiz, se llevó este domingo el premio al mejor ópera prima en la categoría ficción del XV Festival de Cine Global de Santo Domingo (FCGSD), que este año estuvo dedicado al cine andaluz y a la memoria del maestro del cine dominicano Claudio Chea.
En tanto, “Mamá”, de Zun Sero (México), se impuso en la categoría ópera prima documental, mientras que el renglón ópera prima cortometrajes lo compartieron “Modou Lighthouse”, de Pape Mbaye (Senegal), y “La Visita/The Prospect”, de Carmela Sandberg (Argentina).
En la sección Corto Global el galardón fue para “Un mundo libre de crisis”, de Ted Hardy-Carnac (Francia).

En la clausura del Festival, que organiza la Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode), se proyectó “The Dominican Dream”, de Jonathan Hock, un nostálgico retrato sobre la emigración y la búsqueda del sueño americano que cuenta la historia del exjugador dominicano de baloncesto Luis Felipe López.
También se exhibió el cortometraje “Bajo las olas”, del dominicano Jennson Cruz.
La próxima edición del Festival Global se celebrará del 22 al 27 de enero de 2024 y estará dedicado a Nueva York, según se anunció en la clausura de este domingo, a la que acudió el exgobernante dominicano Leonel Fernández, presidente de Funglode.
