Dictan 7 años prisión Elizabeth Silverio por practica ilegal medicina

SANTO DOMINGO.- El Tercer Tribunal Colegiado del Distrito Nacional condenó este lunes a siete años de prisión a Elizabeth Silverio Silien, acusada por el Ministerio Público de usurpar funciones en el área de la neurociencia cuando dirigía el Centro de Terapias Neurocognitivas y Psicopedagógicas Knowledge Land (Kogland).
La mujer tendrá que pagar, además, dos millones de pesos a cada uno de los nueve querellantes.
El Ministerio Público, que había pedido 10 años de prisión contra Silverio Silien, aseguró que ésta se hizo pasar por profesional de la salud, indicando ser doctora en neurociencia, psicóloga y psicoterapeuta.

Esta labor la ejerció entre enero de 2021 y junio de 2023, sin tener formación académica relacionada al área, afirmó el órgano acusador.
La acusación establece, además, que Silverio Silien engañó y estafó a los padres, haciéndoles creer que era profesional de la salud, mediante el uso de documentos falsos, con los que ofrecía atenciones psicoterapéuticas, consultaba, evaluaba, medicaba y entregaba informes con recomendaciones para aplicar psicoterapias, rubricando y sellando documentaciones con un número de exequatur inexistente.
