SANTO DOMINGO.- Una vez más, el proceso para la retirada de pasaportes se ha llenado de quejas a las afueras de la Dirección General de Pasaportes, donde decenas de personas expresaron su descontento con la supuesta lentitud en la entrega del documento.
“Esto es un desastre aquí. No hay organización. Esto no era así antes, las cosas hay que dejarlas como están si van bien. Mira, tengo tres horas parada bajo sol, esperando para que me entreguen mi pasaporte”, expresó con evidente molestia Maritza Sánchez mientras se encontraba haciendo turno.
La vocera de la dependencia, Josefina Capellán, confirmó que, efectivamente, el tiempo de espera para cada solicitante está siendo superior a las cuatro y cinco horas debido a la inmensa cantidad de gente que acude de forma diaria.
De acuerdo con Capellán, desde el pasado 10 de abril, cuando la oficina central de la intendencia empezó a trabajar con un horario corrido, el flujo de personas se ha incrementado propiciando la entrega de 1,500 libretas por día.
“El proceso está fluyendo, estamos trabajando y solamente en la sede central más de 1,500 libretas por día”, indicó.
Asimismo, afirmó que se está llamando a todas aquellas personas que sufrieron el retraso por la falta de libretas, y que se les hizo una reserva, para que vayan a retirar gradualmente; sin embargo, hay muchas otras que llegan sin citas previas y retrasan el proceso.
