NUEVA YORK.– Con la participación de decenas de asistentes, las organizaciones Ser Latino Inc. y Cámara de Comercio de Mujeres de Nueva York desarrollaron un taller de emprendimiento en El Bronx, orientado a brindar herramientas clave para la creación de negocios formales y el acceso a recursos económicos sin costos iniciales.
La iniciativa Emprende Bronx, respaldada por la Ciudad de Nueva York y BOC Network, se centró en promover el crecimiento económico comunitario y fortalecer la autosuficiencia financiera de la comunidad latina.
Oportunidades reales en sectores de alta demanda
El programa estuvo dirigido a emprendedores emergentes y propietarios de pequeños negocios interesados en expandir sus ingresos, ofreciendo orientación sobre actividades formales alineadas con las regulaciones estatales.
Durante la jornada se abordaron áreas de alta demanda como cosmética, organización de eventos, catering y servicios de limpieza, identificadas como nichos de rápida inserción laboral en el mercado local.
Asimismo, el contenido incluyó temas esenciales como formalización de negocios, diseño de planes empresariales, educación financiera y estrategias de mercadeo, proporcionando bases sólidas para proyectos sostenibles.
Compromiso con la comunidad latina
El presidente de Ser Latino Inc., Puro Fajardo, valoró la alta participación y el entusiasmo de los asistentes, destacando el impacto transformador de la capacitación.
“Hoy vimos a decenas de personas dar un paso firme hacia sus metas, con información clara para convertir sus talentos en negocios formales”.
Fajardo subrayó que la iniciativa busca ir más allá de una formación puntual, apostando por la generación de oportunidades reales y el acceso a recursos que impulsen el desarrollo económico.
Empoderamiento económico y crecimiento sostenido
De su lado, Quenia Abreu destacó que el objetivo central es fomentar el desarrollo económico integral de la comunidad.
“Nuestro objetivo es enseñar a nuestra gente a emprender y a hacer crecer sus negocios hasta llevarlos al éxito, ofreciendo recursos y capacitación totalmente gratuitos”.
Oportunidad de independencia financiera
Por su parte, Awilda Brito resaltó que esta alianza representa una oportunidad concreta de independencia financiera, especialmente para quienes no tienen acceso a asesoría especializada.
“Nos enfocamos en ofrecer información clara, útil y adaptada a la realidad de nuestros emprendedores. Muchos de ellos no tienen acceso a este tipo de orientación, y aquí la reciben sin costo y con acompañamiento”, subrayó Brito.
Brito también señaló que el programa fue estructurado con información clara, práctica y adaptada a la realidad de los emprendedores latinos, facilitando el acceso a asesoría que en otras circunstancias implicaría un costo significativo.
Educación empresarial como motor de desarrollo
Los organizadores enfatizaron que la capacitación incluyó orientación sobre licencias, regulaciones y acceso a financiamiento, elementos clave para garantizar la formalización y sostenibilidad de los negocios.
Además, reconocieron la destacada labor de las instructoras Evelyn Sosa y Gervacia Payano, así como el interés creciente de la comunidad en futuras jornadas formativas.
La actividad, realizada en El Bronx en un espacio completamente en español, fue valorada como un éxito rotundo, consolidándose como un esfuerzo que impulsa la inclusión económica, fortalece la solidaridad comunitaria y abre nuevas oportunidades para el emprendimiento latino en Nueva York.
