Licey felicita al Escogido por su campeonato 18 beisbol de la RD
SANTO DOMINGO.- El Club Atlético Licey felicitó al equipo de los Leones del Escogido por la consecución de su título de campeón número 18 en el torneo de béisbol otoño invernal de la Liga Dominicana.
La directiva del conjunto azul, que encabeza el ingeniero Miguel Guerra Armenteros, extendió sus congratulaciones al combinado rojo en la persona de su presidente Eduardo Najri.
La dirección de los 24 veces campeones de la liga invernal a partir de 1951, fundado el 7 de noviembre de 1907, también incluye en su felicitación al gerente general, Carlos Peña, así como al manager Ramón Santiago.
La directiva del glorioso añadió en su mensaje de congratulación a todos y cada uno de los jugadores, entrenadores, directivos, integrantes del personal de cada departamento así como a los fanáticos y seguidores del ahora bicampeón.
La serie final fue dominada 4-1 por los Leones que tuvieron como rivales a los Toros del Este.
