PRM elegirá autoridades por aclamación el 9 de agosto

SANTO DOMINGO.– El Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) seleccionará sus nuevas autoridades nacionales mediante el mecanismo de voto por aclamación durante la Asamblea Nacional de Delegados, convocada para el próximo domingo 9 de agosto, a las 9:00 de la mañana, en el Hotel Sheraton.
La convocatoria fue realizada por la Comisión Nacional de Elecciones Internas (CNEI), que informó que los cargos de presidente, vicepresidentes, secretario general y subsecretarios generales del partido para el período 2026-2028 serán escogidos conforme a los estatutos de la organización y las disposiciones legales vigentes.
A través de un comunicado difundido en sus redes sociales, la CNEI exhortó a todos los delegados a participar en la asamblea, en la que se presentará una plancha única para ser aprobada por consenso.
ABINADER AÚN NO DEFINE SOBRE PRESIDENCIA DEL PARTIDO
De acuerdo con informaciones vinculadas al proceso interno, la plancha podría ser encabezada por el presidente de la República, Luis Abinader, quien sería propuesto para asumir la presidencia del PRM. Sin embargo, hasta el momento el mandatario no ha confirmado si aceptará esa postulación.
En caso de declinar la propuesta, entre las opciones que maneja la dirección partidaria figura Deligne Ascención, actual secretario nacional de Organización, como candidato de consenso para dirigir la organización.
Para la Secretaría General también se perfilan varios dirigentes, entre ellos Jean Luis Rodríguez, el diputado Eugenio Cedeño y el viceministro administrativo de la Presidencia, Juan Garrigó Mejía.
La posición es ocupada actualmente por la alcaldesa del Distrito Nacional, Carolina Mejía, quien ha desempeñado ese cargo mientras impulsa sus aspiraciones presidenciales dentro del PRM.
