RD está de regreso al lugar 10 del ranking Mundial de Béisbol
SANTO DOMINGO.- La República Dominicana está de regreso dentro de las mejores 10 naciones del mundo luego de la última actualización del ranking Mundial de la disciplina realizada la mañana del miércoles 23 de julio por la Confederación Mundial de Béisbol y Softbol (WBSC, por sus siglas en inglés).
El país subió un puesto en el Ranking Mundial WBSC, luego de cerrar el 2024 en el lugar 11 tras su participación en Premier 12.
El titular de la Federación Dominicana de Béisbol Inc. (Fedom), Juan Núñez Nepomuceno, mostró su satisfacción por el trabajo que desde la entidad vienen efectuando a partir de las categorías menores en todo el país.
“Nosotros hemos venido trabajando duro todo el tiempo para subir siempre el Ranking Mundial, la República Dominicana ha mejorado bastante sobre todo en las categorías menores en donde nos hemos enfocado sin descansar”, comentó Núñez Nepomuceno.
“Estar de regreso dentro de las mejores 10 naciones del mundo nos dice que debemos insistir, continuar con el trabajo duro con todos los torneos de desarrollo como hasta el momento lo estamos haciendo gracias al esfuerzo de grandes hombres y mujeres entregados al béisbol”, expresó el presidente de Fedom.
