RD registra exportaciones récord de US$7,897.8 millones en primer semestre de 2026

SANTO DOMINGO.– El Centro de Exportación e Inversión de la República Dominicana (ProDominicana), informó este viernes que República Dominicana alcanzó un récord histórico en exportaciones durante el primer semestre de 2026, al registrar US$7,897.8 millones entre enero y junio, un crecimiento de 14.8 % respecto al mismo período del año anterior.
Según un comunicado de la entidad, el incremento equivale a US$1,018.4 millones más que en el primer semestre de 2025, consolidando el mejor desempeño exportador registrado por el país para ese período.
La directora ejecutiva de ProDominicana, Biviana Riveiro Disla, afirmó que los resultados reflejan la competitividad de la oferta exportable dominicana y el impacto de las estrategias implementadas para ampliar la presencia de los productos nacionales en los mercados internacionales.
La institución destacó que solo en junio las exportaciones ascendieron a US$1,498.5 millones, el mayor valor mensual registrado en la historia del país, tras experimentar un crecimiento interanual de 17.4 %, equivalente a US$221.7 millones adicionales en comparación con junio de 2025.
En ese mes, las exportaciones de zonas francas totalizaron US$819 millones, con un crecimiento de 8 % y una participación de 54.6 % del total exportado. Mientras, el régimen nacional alcanzó US$651.8 millones, para un aumento de 35.4 % y una participación de 45.4 %.
Estados Unidos se mantuvo como el principal destino de las exportaciones dominicanas durante junio, con envíos valorados en US$683.5 millones, seguido de Canadá, con US$263.9 millones, y Haití, con US$115.9 millones.
ProDominicana informó que las exportaciones aumentaron hacia 80 mercados internacionales, destacándose Canadá y Suiza por el crecimiento impulsado principalmente por las exportaciones de oro en bruto.
Entre los principales productos exportados durante junio figuraron el oro en bruto, con US$341.7 millones; los instrumentos y aparatos de medicina, con US$113.8 millones; los disyuntores eléctricos, con US$89.3 millones, y los cigarros puros, con US$88.5 millones.
La entidad indicó que más de 700 líneas arancelarias registraron crecimiento durante el mes, reflejando una expansión de las exportaciones tanto en la variedad de productos como en los mercados de destino.
