Sol y temperaturas calurosas hoy en la mayor parte de RD
SANTO DOMINGO.- Este martes se registran cielos soleados y temperaturas muy calurosas en la mayor parte de la República Dominicana, debido a la incidencia de polvo del Sáhara y un sistema anticiclónico, informó el Instituto Dominicano de Meteorología (Indomet).
El sistema anticiclónico y el polvo sahariano actuan como limitadores del desarrollo de nubes y lluvias. El calentamiento diurno y la orografía local podrían originar, durante la tarde, algunos chubascos aislados hacia las zonas montañosas.
Se han vaticinado máximas de hasta 36 grados Celsius en Santiago, Montecristi, Azua, San Juan y Barahona.
Debido a las temperaturas, el Indomet recomendó tomar suficiente agua, usar ropa ligera (de colores claros), permanecer en lugares frescos y evitar exponerse al sol «sin la debida protección» por períodos prolongados, entre las 11:00 de la mañana y las 4:00 de la tarde.
Asimismo, recordó que los niños, los adultos mayores y las mujeres embarazadas son los más sensibles al calor.
