REDACCION INTERNACIONAL.- Paramount avanza en el desarrollo de la esperada secuela de Días de trueno, con el regreso confirmado de Tom Cruise como el piloto Cole Trickle, personaje que interpretó en la película estrenada en 1990. El proyecto busca revivir una de las franquicias más recordadas del cine de automovilismo y acción.
Paramount confirma a Tom Cruise
Aunque la participación de Cruise ya es oficial, el estudio continúa las negociaciones para que Jonathan Levine asuma la dirección. Si la preproducción se desarrolla según lo previsto, el rodaje podría comenzar a principios de 2027.
La nueva entrega contará nuevamente con Jerry Bruckheimer como productor, mientras que Cruise también participará detrás de cámaras como productor, una fórmula que ya dio buenos resultados con Top Gun: Maverick. El estudio espera atraer tanto a los seguidores de la película original como a una nueva generación de espectadores.
Jonathan Levine, conocido por dirigir producciones como Warm Bodies, Long Shot y la serie Nine Perfect Strangers, es el principal candidato para ponerse al frente del proyecto. Paramount confía en su capacidad para combinar acción, emoción y desarrollo de personajes, elementos clave de la historia.
