Gobierno dará medicinas gratis a pacientes diabéticos e hipertensos
Dijo que también incluirán a los pensionados y menores de 18 años que sean diabéticos insulino-dependiente.
SANTO DOMINGO.- El presidente Luis Abinader anunció este lunes un cambio de estrategia del Gobierno en el abordaje de salud de la población de escasos recursos con hipertensión y diabetes.
Hablando en «LA Semanal con la Prensa en el Palacio Nacional» dijo que lo hará a través de un programa mediante el cual se les suministrará medicamentos gratuitos a los mayores de 45 años que tengan el seguro subsidiado de Senasa.
Dijo que también incluirán a los pensionados y menores de 18 años que sean diabéticos insulino-dependientes. Precisó que los medicamentos están avalados por la Organización Panamericana de la Salud (OPS).
RECURSOS DEL ESTÁN EN PRESUPUESTO 2024
Dijo que los recursos para financiar este programa están contemplados en el presupuesto del 2024 y que empezará en la segunda semana de febrero.
«En un mes se comenzarán a entregarse los medicamentos a esta población a través de las Unidades de Atención Primaria de Salud, centros del primer nivel y Farmacias del Pueblo», dijo Abinader.
El Mandatario manifestó que buscan aumentar la esperanza de vida de la población dominicana, que actualmente es de 74 años, dos menos de la media de Latinoamérica.
También invitó a la población a ejercitarse y a llevar un estilo de vida saludable.
