Otro ataque EEUU en el Pacífico a «narcolancha» deja 2 muertos
WASHINGTON.- El Ejército de Estados Unidos ha anunciado este lunes la muerte de dos personas a bordo de una embarcación supuestamente involucrada en el narcotráfico que navegaba por aguas del Pacífico Oriental, en un nuevo ataque que ha dejado un superviviente.
«Dos narcoterroristas murieron y uno sobrevivió al ataque. La inteligencia confirmó que la embarcación transitaba por rutas conocidas de narcotráfico en el Pacífico Oriental y participaba en operaciones de narcotráfico», ha asegurado el Mando Sur de las Fuerzas Armadas estadounidenses (Southcom) en redes sociales.
El organismo ha asegurado en el mismo mensaje que ha informado «inmediatamente» después del ataque a la Guardia Costera, que ha activado el sistema de búsqueda y rescate del único superviviente.
El objetivo del bombardeo, ordenado por el comandante del Southcom, el general Francis Donovan, ha sido una embarcación «operada por organizaciones terroristas designadas» y forma parte de la operación ‘Lanza del Sur’ iniciada por Washington en septiembre del pasado año presuntamente contra el narcotráfico y que ha causado la muerte de más de un centenar de personas.
