Dicen en año 2025 hubo en RD retroceso en derechos humanos

SANTO DOMINGO.- La Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos (CNDH-RD presentó este jueves su informe anual correspondiente al 2025, en el que expone un panorama preocupante.
En rueda de prensa, Manuel María Mercedes, presidente de la entidad, dijo que el período estuvo marcado por ejecuciones extrajudiciales, deportaciones masivas, desalojos forzosos, hacinamiento penitenciario y graves transgresiones a sectores en situación de vulnerabilidad.
El informe, dijo, está sustentado en entrevistas a 450 personas, 65 testimonios directos y monitoreo territorial en distintas provincias del país.
INTERCAMBIO DE DISPAROS Y EJECUCIONES
El texto señala que en el año pasado se registraron 205 presuntas ejecuciones extrajudiciales, afectando principalmente a jóvenes entre 18 y 35 años de sectores empobrecidos.
La CNDH-RD advierte sobre un patrón sistemático en el uso de la figura de «intercambio de disparos» como justificación oficial de muertes a manos de agentes del Estado.
DEPORTACIONES SIN EL DEBIDO PROCESO
En el ámbito migratorio, dijo que la organización documentó más de 379,553 deportaciones en 2025, muchas de ellas ejecutadas sin debido proceso y bajo prácticas de perfilamiento racial que afectan de manera desproporcionada a personas haitianas y dominicanas de ascendencia haitiana.
Asimismo, denunció la detención de mujeres embarazadas en centros hospitalarios y la separación de núcleos familiares.
CRISIS EN EL SISTEMA CARCELARIO
La crisis penitenciaria también ocupa un lugar central en el informe. Actualmente, el sistema carcelario presenta una sobrepoblación superior al 150%, con más del 63% de las personas privadas de libertad en prisión preventiva. Las condiciones de hacinamiento, insalubridad y precariedad continúan vulnerando la dignidad humana.
Mercedes dijo que en materia de vivienda, la CNDH-RD acompañó a más de 150 familias afectadas por desalojos forzosos ejecutados sin garantías judiciales ni alternativas de reubicación, profundizando la exclusión social.
El informe sostiene que más de un millón y medio de dominicanos carecen de vivienda adecuada.
«El respeto a los derechos humanos no puede ser opcional ni selectivo. Sin justicia, sin igualdad y sin dignidad, no hay democracia posible», expresó la entidad.
